Increasing service to the community

The Problem: Years ago Anduhyaun recognized a number of challenges with its existing emergency shelter that made it difficult to best serve our community. The global pandemic only exacerbated circumstances and made the need for accessible supportive housing critical.

The Solution: A Culture Focused, Trauma-Informed VAW Shelter

Once built, the new Anduhyaun Shelter will be a larger, safer, and accessible space with increased capacity, culture embedded from design to structure, and improved holistic programs. We are honoured to undertake this project and be able to continue the work our grandmothers started.

Miigwetch/Thank You: This project would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our allies and community. We would like to recognize all those who are committed to seeing this through including our Circle of Directors and Management team, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, Tim Welch Consulting, LGA Architectural Partners, and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services.
